Thanks, Design*Sponge, for today's feature on Erin Flett's charming hand-screened pillows. We love them, too!
Customize Your Summer
In the dark depths of winter, our thoughts always turn to white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and sandals, sandals, sandals. What fun to see these new designs by Stefan Page for Sandalista, the California company that lets you to custom-design your flip-flops. We think they’re just the ticket for our winter vacation and can’t wait to slip them on at the nail salon post-pedicure. Our day’s looking brighter already.

Lindsay Lohan's Got Nothin' on These Babes
You can't cuddle up with Hef's centerfolds (the staples might even make it dangerous!), but these Neryl Walker pillows can make your dreams come true. Constructed of super-soft, machine-washable faux suede over a feather filling, these lovely ladies are ever-so huggable. Sydney-based Neryl loves to draw women, and these designs epitomize her retro sensibility. Only 250 of each design have been produced, so these pillows are sure to become even more collectible than that stack of old Playboys in the back of the closet.

Putting more "Green-ery" into Christmas by Erin Flett
_We know it’s coming. It
happens every year. The early Christmas morning chaos of opening presents,
oohs, aahs, “thank you’s,” and “you shouldn’t have’s” are over and you gaze
upon pile after pile of rumpled wrapping paper, forlorn bows, and glitter
scattered all around the room. Here’s a great solution to keep all the holiday
finery out of the local landfill: These great—and re-usable—holiday gift boxes
from Erin Flett. So cute, the box becomes part of the gift; so
sturdy, they’re the one re-gift anyone would be glad to receive.
What is it about French women and scarves?
_
That’s the question Kerrie
Hess asked herself shortly after she moved to Paris. Is that je ne sais quoi
sense of chic passed down from mother to daughter as part of some time-honored
ritual, or are they just (as Lady Gaga would say) “born that way”? So
taken was she with the myriad ways the women of France effortlessly don those
gorgeous squares of silk that Kerrie was inspired to recreate her favorite
Parisian fashion memories on a series of scarf designs. Here are two of
our favorites from the collection.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Is it just us, or does the coutdown to the holiday season get shorter every year? It seems we've barely woken up from our post-Thanksgivng dinner nap only to find the Christmas tree being placed in its stand.
While there's a lot to be said for the memories evoked by vintage ornaments, we like to bring a fresh look and a bit of whimsy to our evergreen display. This year, our tree will a foodie theme, featuring these adorable Christmas cupckae ornaments by Anne K. Higgins.

The thing about wallpaper is that it's so permanent-or is it?
_
We love the idea of wallpaper—be it the simple added texture of rice paper or the old-fashioned charm of chintz. And we change our minds so quickly these days. . . That’s why we think these wall decals—designed by Stefan Page for Zozo Living—are just brilliant. Mix and match the graphic elements as you wish, and if you don’t like the arrangement—they’re removable! This is how we like our décor: no muss, no fuss—just beautiful.
Are you tired of Santa and Frosty?
Sometimes we want to capture the spirit of the season without all the jingle bells, and not every décor can easily accommodate the typical red-and-green or blue-and-white schemes. Look to nature to provide the perfect seasonal accent, like with Erin Flett's Ashley Pine Pillows. Toss a few of these pillows on the couch, or use one for impact on your favorite easy chair-the one you sink into after a long day of holiday shopping. (Ashely Pine is available in three colors-green, blue and brown-from the artist's Etsy shop.)
